General

Do I need to have a Tekku account to make a purchase?


No, you can either create a profile with Tekku or purchase products as a guest. However creating a profile, automatically keeps you up-to-date on our promtions and giveaways.




Do you guarantee stock levels?


For every order placed, we do a stock check before you make any payments, this helps us to guarantee the availability of your items. If there is no stock of the item you are looking for, we will be happy to advise you on alternative products.




Can I purchase gift cards?


Currently, we do not offer gift cards, but please do check back, as this will be available soon.




Are my goods insured during the delivery process?


Currently we have insurance for up to the value of R 50,000. If you would like to insure up to the full value of your goods, send us an email and we will gladly assist with a quote for insuring your goods in transit (normally 2% of the total order).




How do I track my order?


We will notify you as soon as your delivery has been shipped and provide a tracking number with a link to our delivery partner’s website.




Can I cancel my order?


For all order cancellations, send us an email to info@tekku.co.za. If the order has not yet been shipped, we will cancel your order. If your order has been shipped, you will need to follow our Returns Policy.




Can I change my order after placing it?


If for any reason an existing order needs to be changed (before shipping), we may have to follow an offline/manual process and will provide you with a new quote to proceed. The offline process will not be visible on your Tekku order profile, but we will keep you notified at every step of the process.




How does your order process work?


1. Order Confirmation
Once you place an order on our website, you will receive an “Order Confirmation” email which means that we have received your order and will attend to it. You will not need to make a payment just yet. We will first check with our suppliers if your item/s are in stock and let you know.

2. Stock Check Completed - Awaiting payment
Once we have done the stock check, you will receive a “Stock Check Completed - Awaiting payment” email. This means that your items are in stock with our supplier, and you can now pay the amount due, to one of our bank accounts. Payments are required within 24 hours in order to guarantee available stock of your goods. To speed up the process, if you bank with FNB or ABSA, you can pay into one of our accounts for the payment to reflect immediately. Alternatively, send us your proof of payment to payments@tekku.co.za
3. Payment Received
You will receive a “Payment received” email, once your payment reflects in one of our bank accounts. We will now request your product from our supplier. Depending on the time of day you have placed your order, we will receive it on the same or next business day and will ship immediately.
4. Order Shipped
You will be notified as soon as your order has been shipped. Depending on the shipping method you’ve chosen, you will receive your order within 24-48hours. Your “Order Shipped” email will contain the tracking link from our Courier to track your parcel.
5. Order Completed
You will receive an “Order Completed” email once the goods have successfully been delivered to you.





Product Catalogue

I can’t find the product I am looking for?


The products that we offer go through a rigorous selection process and therefore we may not have a product listed specific to your liking, but we always help a nakama out! Send us your product inquiry (to info@tekku.co.za) and we will check with our suppliers and give you a quote on your product/s. If your product selection meets our quality standards, we may eventually stock this product.




Help! How do I choose the right product for me?


This is our speciality! We only sell products that we know and understand, email us at info@tekku.co.za for assistance with choosing the best fit product. We are also building a Knowledge Base with a great wealth of information on tech and reviews. Our aim is to make tech easy to understand.




The item I want is out of stock. What do I do now?


We currently do not have an automated notification that lets you know when the item is back in stock, but you are welcome to email us at info@tekku.co.za and we will flag your request when the stock levels change.





Delivery/Shipping

How long will it take for my order to arrive?


Once you receive a shipping notification from Tekku, you will receive your order within 24-72 hours.




Where do you ship to?


Currently we ship countrywide.




Can I collect an order instead of having it shipped?


We do not have a collection point yet, as we do not hold stock on site, but you will be notified when we start allowing collections at our premises.





Payments

What are your payment methods?


Currently we only use EFTs for payments, to fast track your order, you may pay in to our ABSA or FNB account (if you use the same provider) or send us your proof of payment to payments@tekku.co.za. Payments are due within 24 hours to secure the availability and prices of your goods.




Is your payment process secure?


We do not currently require card details to be supplied on our website for payments. As we add new payment methods, you will be notified of the security measures put in place to keep your transactions secure.




How do I redeem a discount?


We use promo codes to apply discounts, and this will be required at checkout, if applicable.
